My take on this......


First off, no one has stated that the rape kit needs to be stored in that bag once the results are out. For all we know, once the bag is opened, the kit and results are transferred to a different type of storage/bag. For all we know, the bag was thrown in the garbage as trash and some ass took it out and put it on the mom's doorstep because that person is a sick fuck.

second of all, people need to stop assuming the evidence was tampered with. The bag was empty, the attorney had no evidence that the actual rape kit was tampered with.

I found the most interesting part of the press conference was the start when the attorney blasted the leaks for letting out "supposed confidential information". Notice he didn't say false information. But, then later when asked in a round about way he issued a somewhat denial about the rumors that there was other semen in her genitals. But why wouldn't he start with that when he initially talked about the semen at the start of the presser? Probably because its true.

here's my theory on what we just saw. Accuser pretty much knows the criminal case is over and now she is just trying to save face. It makes it a lot better for her if she can say that the case was dropped because of tampered evidence as opposed to the case was dropped because she's a lying whore.

I haven't read most of the comments here, but if anyone is saying Kane is somehow behind this you need to ask yourself just how fucking stupid you are and also, why would Kane have any incentive to tamper with evidence that benefits him? Assuming the leaks are true and there is no Kaner DNA on the genitals or underwear and that there is DNA there from other people (or person) why would he want that tampered with?

And if you are going so far as to comment that somehow someone tampered with the results of the DNA test then you are a crackhead. It is impossible to remove DNA evidence.

I can't wait to hear from the DA. He has to stop hiding behind his desk now and make a statement.

If I were Kane I would have an immediate presser and demand the DA make a statement as whether or not Kane is considered a suspect in this case. Pronounce his innocence again and demand the DA either charge him or take his name out of it.

Spoke to a good friend who is a CPD detective - "The amount of people let into an evidence room is exceedingly small." Or it should be. It's not like the movies, for this very reason. Obviously there are cameras. So if true, this would have only occurred during chain of custody and the paper trail should be just as documented unless this is something on the level of a department-wide complicity.

Can't see a situation where a friend of Kane, one single guy, was able to game the system unless he now flees the country or buys a white bronco.

Not going to be the knee-jerk kind of human. The DA could easily hold a presser holding the actual bag.

How true to life are those shows in regards to all police procedures? I don't watch them, and I would never take a cushy job like police officer so I am unfamiliar with both the shows and the actual procedures.

Once again, SportsMockery had this before the presser. Not exact, but that an issue existed in the rape kit. Which came from The Niagara newspaper

his newspaper has confirmed that DNA tests conducted on the 21-year-old woman who has accused hockey star Patrick Kane of raping her has found DNA evidence of at least one person and possibly one or two more in her genital area but no traces of any DNA from Kane.

Wouldnt something like that be stored for a while.

The lawyer said that kit should always be sealed and stored. I got the impression that there is never a time when you throw it out after it's been processed or whatever. Unless he was lying, the evidence should always be in that paper bag.

I am with Shakes on his posted ideas for now. The lawyer thing was very odd. Comes out blasting about semen then gets around to worst victim bashing in history. Really sounds to me that this is somehow a move on their part based on the leak of no Kane DNA but two other guys.
