Sports is full of really bad guys. Especially college sports. If you're not going to watch any team that has a bad guy on it, you will be stuck watching The Bad News Bears over and over.

Listen, if you want to discount or ignore the stories that are out there I can't blame you.

You just can't expect that all others will have your same threshold.

Is it not fair to think that the multiple incidents of Patrick Kane make it harder to cheer for the Blackhawks?

The entire history of professional sports pretty well debunks that. Aside from this case, what are we talking about here? Kane getting too drunk? Kane punching a cabbie?

So, if we're not assuming Kane's guilty here, and Dan swears he's not, it's not exactly plausible. He's just full of shit.
Kane is a bad guy, and there are a lot of stories out there about how he and his friends behave.

People hate Jay Cutler for a lot less, but Jay Cutler sucks on the field too.

Can YOU and the other Bernstein FANBOYS face the facts please!!! Dan doesn't care about you...he doesn't want to be your friend...he is not going to come over to your house!!!

Dan is a fucking hypocrite and as always says whatever works for the current agenda of him and his raggedy ole' parrot to follow.

How about "riding it out" until he's at least charged with something, then evaluate your options?

Well, I'm willing to post on this board still, despite your many sexual assaults. Frankly, I find it incredibly hypocritical of you to judge another this way.

Nice a band of female sportswriter showing through town with torches and pitchforks. This is the biggest catch 22 in the world. Regardless of Kane or John Doe if you get accused they are coming for you.

Here's what the Hawks need to do.

They made their decision to let Kane be with the team. They know it was a mistake. They know that presser was horrible.

So McDonough needs to ask the league to fix his mistake. Because he doesn't want to change his mind and suspend him now cuz that will be him admitting he made a mistake.

So McDonough needs to ask Betman to override him and have the paid leave of absence be ordered by the NHL.

That's what needs to be done.

Why don't you just concentrate on hilarious nicknames for Jason Goff?

How could I focus on such trivialities now that I know a scumbag like you is on this board? Man, all the stories I've heard. It makes it real hard to take this board seriously anymore.

I don't see how you can suspend someone that hasn't been suspended and you have no clue on any of the facts. I would bet the players union would put up quite the fuss over that.

You've misinterpreted me. I think you should leave. You should be banned, at very least until more comes to light. Frankly, I'm incredulous that Bigfan doesn't ban you, what with these allegations of sexual misconduct hanging over your head. You know what that tells me? It tells me Bigfan just doesn't care. That he knows enough CSFMB posters won't care and will just go on posting. It's just unfortunate. Really turns me off sports radio talk.

 I think you have your analogies turned around. I don't think I said anywhere that Kane should be suspended.

I just find Kane hard to root for. If you don't have any problem with Kane as a person then I understand that completely.

There are plenty of people in many realms that aggravate me. No one, however, more than when Bernsie reads a live read. Doesn't matter if it is blue apron, the wine crap or simply correctly pronouncing spanish. I want to hit his face with a baseball bat.

The investigative process, including the evidentiary process. The criminal justice process, including the role of the grand jury. These are the elements that create due process, along with an understanding that the burden of proof is on the accusers/prosecutors. Just a few things that the radio host pretends to not know/conveniently forgets.

While I take much of what is written on this board as tongue-in-cheek, there are a few who have expressed thoughts and/or sentiments that aren't derived by facts or evidence but rumor, innuendo, and supposition. The more far afield from those facts the more arrogant the stance taken in defending those thoughts/sentiments.

Tom Eoannou, during his press conferences made several hard statements. Most notably that he practices criminal law, and knows nothing of civil law. I believed him when he stated it. So while there are a gamut of suppositions that can be drawn, they all can't be drawn one way without at least considering the other. For example, Kane has a bodyguard who's also a cop from a different jurisdiction. Therefore the thin blue line/code of silence/Against the law types are conspiring to keep Kane free. Eoannou and his partner have a combined 60 years of professional experience, therefore they couldn't/wouldn't risk their careers and reputations to have any role in this situation. He even asked for outside investigators to take over. He could be 100% sincere in everything he's presented and requested, or those 60 years combined experience have granted them a few tricks up their sleeves.

I know for some of you things like a proper investigation, evidence collection and analysis, and the formal process of presenting charges are aspects of the criminal justice system that are needless wastes of time. The "words" you "hear" supports your beliefs, the rest is just so much noise. And now Twitter has become the all encompassing looking glass that delivers both the truths you want to believe, and the sordid underbelly of scum that you not only oppose but prop up to reinforce your sense of self-superiority.

For me, the evidence needs time to be collected and properly analyzed. The investigation should be both broad enough and intensive enough to not only answer as many questions as possible, but to leave the unanswerable limited. The grand jury is a part of the process, but it isn't where innocence or guilt is proven. It is moronic to grasp the GJ in any other fashion.

There was a time in the not too distant history that the evidence didn't need to be collected, the accusation could stand on the word of the accuser, and a rope and a tree were all that was needed for justice. Not too long ago people considered how a situation reflected more upon themselves than whether or not the accussed was guilty of the crime. Where a one size accusation fit all because a man who would steal a loaf of bread to feed his family could just as easily murder out of such desperation. We went through a period of history where rights, rules of order, and due process where either unceremoniously ignored or the ability to have proper representation was quashed.

Prior to last Saturday, what was really known about this situation? It should have been little or next to nothing if all parties were in GJ compliance. Mr. Eoannou stated in his press conference that there have been numerous leaks of what was supposed to be confidential, though (correctly) it wasn't his job to lend any veracity to the content of those leaks. Its why its best to let the process run its course as opposed to trying to keep the situation stoked up at a white hot temperature.

In the mean time, if accusations could be flung and people denied the ability to earn a living, where would we all be? The radio host is a leering and skeevy guy, and could probably take it to the next level. He should be suspended until he can prove that he isn't that guy (oops, Twitter's got him there). His partner used to openly joke about pedophilia, has he changed or just changed his spots? Due to suppressed memory I think there was an incident in the past that involved alcohol and doing something against someone's will. He too should be suspended until he proves that what I'm saying has never happened.
