they should be po'd at the mom and the accuser (depending on how much she knew about what her mom/family were up to). A high profile rape accusation that ends the way this one appears to be ending makes coming forward in a high profile rape case (or any rape case) and doing the right thing [rape kit etc] even more of a challenge than it already must be.

Yeah, for all the shit people got for saying "let the facts come out" on the internet, the upshot here is that people involved in a case like this really need to step the fuck back and let people do their jobs.
