It is an impossible situation for a victim. You know you are going to be hated and attacked. Even in a low profile case, rape victims are attacked based on looks, what they are wearing, etc. Now you have a popular pro athlete on his home turf, and things get ugly fast.


Imagine going to a hospital, and you tell the doctor you have been shot. They look for a gun shot wound and don't find one. If she wasn't raped by someone, what is the point of getting a rape kit. They won't find anything.

That was one of the big B&B points yesterday. How this is such a shame. I kept thinking to myself "wait, wouldn't it be better if this were a false accusation?" They were shaming people for hoping that it was phony. But, uh, that outcome would mean no one was raped. Seems better than the alternative to me.

I think there's a certain type of person who finds the credibility hit that comes with a false accusation worse than a single rape. Also, it's pretty obvious B&B very much want Kane to be guilty of this, because he's a bad guy or something. BRick can probably shine a light on that (assuming he's not busy sexually assaulting anyone).
