Not even close.

With the game still being close, I am interested to see how long Maddon leaves him in the game.

He's only got 84 pitches through 7. He should finish what he started.

Absolutely. He's fine.

It was pretty good.

This is historic.

Terry's guy left him a message and said Arrieta's a thing.

The only Cub that compares is Les Lancaster and he was just a reliever.

I don't remember any Cub starter dominating like this.

Les Lackluster??

In 1989: set a Chicago Cubs record for a reliever by hurling 30.2 consecutive scoreless innings

That's an impressive run, but not the same as a starter who has to go 3 times through a lineup or more. Pitching 1-2 innings at a time and not facing the same batter twice.....not the same. But still, a nice run.

Yep. Yep.

No one asked you. Just stay out of Cub business.

They are talking about Arrieta possibly being pulled, yet I have not seen any Cub relief pitchers warming up.

Totally agree with removing Arrieta ahead by 4.

Pirates should chase Cards. This match up is ugly for wild card game.

Bucs need to sweep Cards. Lynn-Happ, Wacha-Morton, and Lyons-Cole. The middle game is a tough matchup. Morton sucks.

I like the way things are. Arrieta can win the wildcard against the Pirates and then the depleated Cardinals will be an easier opponent for the Cubs in the NLDS. Much rather face the Pirates in a single game than a series. they are the better team between the Bucs/ Cards.

No doubt. If you are a Cub fan rather have the cards win the division. Arrieta will take care of the wild card against pitt. In Jake we trust.
