Ventura (12-8) vs. Hendricks (7-7)

Does the regular season matter anymore?

With travel being considered for the Royals, a day game would not be ideal and for fans it's tough, as kids are back in school and it might adversely affect the attendance. That said, it is supposed to be okay this afternoon, but chance for rain tonight and with rescheduling the game again impractical, it might make for a long night.

These games do have some meaning in the sense that we need to see if one of three H's can have themselves a game or two before the playoffs.

The Royals played a day game yesterday, because Sunday, so travel wasn't an issue and when the Cubs are winning you can start the games at 9am and everyone is still going to show up.

Hopefully Royals fans don't invade the ballpark again. Cubs fans should be doing their jobs and starting fist fights with any Royals fans who get too vocal tonight.

Cubs fans, it's not ok to reference the ancient history that was the Ligue's while at the same time being ok with comments like this.

Fighting other fans is just what happens sometimes.

Running on the field to attack an elderly man and rueeening half pirce mon and tuesdays is a far worse crime

So you are ok with encouraging Cubs fans to fight people.

What you do is get a couple of people to distract the adults so the rest of your group can swoop in and attack the children. It's no different than the animal kingdom, attack the weak.

Go Cubbies.

More KC than I thought roaming Wrigleyville. Usually does happen that out of towners get here early, like there is something to see when the park is closed on a monday. They go to the Cubby Bear, like that is something special, then waddle over to sluggers for their second can of $9 budweiser, then stand outside looking around. That is the consumer that the cubs will dominate in years to come. the 500-1000 visitors. Buy some crap, eat some food, drink some beer, play some virtual reality games, take pictures of your kid w/ the pantsless bear, maybe buy a last second ticket that one of our season ticket holders put on our new last second ticket market screen.

Those half price nights were a party and definitely for the adult crowd. Those Cub fan Ligue's ruined it as well as 500 level people being able to stand on the concourse.

Our guy Danny's spot is the local Royals bar. They're thick like roaches over there when KC is in town.

That was exhausting and completely not needed.
Glad they won, but I'l take 9 innings or less from here on out.

Says it is a WISC bar. Its an OK place and probably the only place between his house Welles Park that he wouldnt be scared to walk into.

Actually saw him there last year, so I assume its the place he is talking about, as like I said, he isnt walking in anywhere else.

I missed the game as I am out in Arizona on business, reading the MLB pbp it sounds like I missed a really good one.

Bryant played four positions??? I still can't wrap my mind around Kris Bryant being the Cubs' backup CF, but if Robin Yount could make the transition from SS, Bryant can do it well enough to play 200 innings a year out there for positional flexibility. If Bryant can play 200 in CF, and Schwarber can play 200-300 at catcher, they can have a hell of a bench because they can just go get good hitters plus one veteran on a minimum salary such as Herrera to be the 25th man.

Jays are like 14-30 in one run games. Itll be interesting to see if thise bats keep going in the playoffs with better pitching

Their downfall will be forcing Tulowitzki back into the lineup.
