That's another thing I want to address: There is very little space to hide an incompetent attorney in a law firm. If shakes wasn't good at what he did, the firm would no longer exist. Even further, nobody here knows whether he took a firm and expanded it or developed a different client base. He may very well be far superior to his father and yet he's being derided as if his presence is a badge of dishonor. Every success story begins with a lucky break in whatever form it may appear. I'm pretty sure shakes would be practicing law somewhere even if his father's firm never existed


In all honesty and with no connotation, I'm curious why you think that. I probably review several hundred resumes a month, many of them lawyers, and many of the jobs a clear step down from out in-house attorney positions. We hire in-house attorneys, too, and many of those roles aren't even attempted by unemployed attorneys. Curious to see why you think an attorney such as shakes would find work so easily.
