interesting. I will say this for Dan, I don't think he's faking his allegiance. For whatever reason, this charity seems to hit him in a soft spot.

I question how much he promotes the poker event to prop up his own ego....kinda treats it as his own event. As I have said before donated to and worked with and for the charity before Dan's involvement. Fact is the donations have gone and his NAME event has decreased in size each year.

Lets face it, many people love having their names on these boards. They love the networking, the schmoozing. I dont think he does it JUSt for that, but its a nice sized chunk.

When a charity spends more than it takes in less than it spends, I smell fraud or total miss-management.

I trust no one who spends so much time propping up their charitable efforts. Especially a guy as insecure and narcissistic as Bernstein.

The people that do it quietly are the most impressive. Guys like many of those icky Christian athletes that Bernstein hates so much.

I don't trust people who do that either and I think it says something, whether about Dan or myself, that I question his motives and sincerity. Like, pimping for a children's cancer charity is the ultimate trump card. It gives him armor because no matter how much of a douchebag he is on the radio he can still be this great dude who works hard for a children's cancer charity. I'm not ready to say he is completely devious but I could believe that his ego plays a part in it. I do not think a person can engage in bullshit, truth stretching, and exaggeration for a living, going on two decades now, and be this noble paragon of the community (not The Community or members of Community).
