my entire 6 years of gradeschool we had that book fair thing as well as those scholastic book catalogs. I loved getting them every month or whatever. I only ever got a book out of there once. but I loved looking at the catalog…most of the time we would run to the library a week or so after it came out and get the book there. Kids would always get books and I'll be honest, outside of remembering it, I can't remember it ever bothering me.

I hated book fairs. All i could do is watch other kids buy books. I was never given a dime. Honestly it made me hate books to this day
