Assume, like it seems to be in the superman world most of the time, that he is the only superhero currently known.

On one hand, any sport he played would basically be over in terms of competitiveness.
On the other hand, I don't think we have any way of stopping someone from playing professional sports once they are of age. He would almost certainly win a court case requiring the NFL or MLB to allow him to play.

I guess you could classify him as a non-person but that seems kind of racist.

I say he would be banned from every sport, and so would Supergirl if she ever showed up, but she probably would suck at sports anyways and couldn't even beat up a fairly fit average male.

If Superman were real he'd play baseball and be Anthony Rizzo.

Then you get the Flash wanting to go out for track, Bruce Wayne on the Chess team, Aquaman challenging all kinds of swimming records and Wonder Woman dominating at the Olympics.

It'd be insanity.

Belichick would outfit the Pats in Kryptonite jerseys. Game over for Superman.

I'm assuming he is the only one, though it seems like that is changing, or did change before and was just never referenced in the movies before.

I think if we had a ton of superheroes then we would have a superhero league and a regular people league, and the regular people league would be full of people with "fundamentals" who "play for the love of the game" and don't deserve compensation.

I guess we could go back to talking about rape and Sox-Cubs trolling.

Oh, and star athlete Superman would constantly be dealing with rape allegations.

Was it ever decided if there was ultimately any real difference?

Who the hell are you,William F. Buckley?

The thing is I know my threads are of the dumb variety, trolling for comedic feedback.

This board covers it all.

I gave the only legit, though provoking answer and you glossed right over it.

Superman would shoot 130 his first time golfing and probably peak as a Weekend warrior type hack like Furious Styles

The closest thing I ever saw to Superman was Wayne Gretzky,Walter Payton and Mikey Jordan.

I'm not sure he could do golf. I don't really know how good he is at fine motor movements.

Other than the "queer" aspect (to borrow from Buckley), I think I'd prefer to have more fun being Gore Vidal.

Yes, Kris Bryant plays baseball (I'm not reading the thread to see how many times this joke has already been made).

Yes,they just made either a movie or Doco on those two guys recently. I think they highlighted that crypto line on a preview of it. Cavett has been on Jimmy Fallon's show a few times.

There was actually a short run comic where the superheros did a ProWrestling type thing. Funny as all hell.

You couldn't let him play, not only would it ruin competitiveness but if he played in the NHL or NFL people would die. He would get carried away and accidentally kill someone. The leagues would all create a rule that any player must be genetically human.

If he cared to he might do a handful of PPV "showdowns" during offseasons. "SUPERMAN VS SEAL TEAM SIX PAINTBALL" or maybe a particularly loathsome public figure who embraces how hated they are would jump into the ring with him for a round.
