Maybe it's not so bad the Cubs are playing on the road for the wildcard. They have been an outstanding road team this season (48-33). Just 1 win less on the road than at home actually. Players won't have 100 people trying to get tickets bugging them either. Just show up and play the game. The Pirates had to sweat a bit with the Cubs right on their tails and maybe having won home field for this game was a victory of sorts. But maybe there is a letdown for having accomplished that? In any case, with Arrieta going Wednesday, there is every reason to feel good about their chances. Cole is great, but Arrieta has been on a whole different level and he seems to like the bright lights of a nationally televised game, as evidenced by his last 2 starts on ESPN when he had a No-Hitter agaist the Dodgers and had a No-Hitter through 6 innings VS the Pirates. I believe he will be at his best for this game.
