Are the Cubs a good team?
No, they stink but The Great Joe Maddon has squeezed 97 wins out of them. 50%  50%  [ 3 ]
Yes, they are a very good team with good players who could play for any manager. 50%  50%  [ 3 ]

Considering the Sox competition was 30 games over vs. the Cub competition, that's probably not a great idea unless you want them to lose. Oh wait, you do.

Yes.

Now that professional AL hitter fills in at 1st or is an above average bench bat. The DH is an abomination and should be abolished.

And in the NL park, AL pitchers who never bat at all get in the box. That seems like a far bigger advantage than having a decent hitter available for a single at-bat, or worse, jamming him in a lineup where his defense lacks.

That doesn't say a whole lot for the Cubs though. You could probably say it about at least fifteen, maybe 20 teams.
