Cubs Record would of been the same regardless. They ma have won oe of the 3 games they lost ithout Bryant but he may have just as easily blew a game with his glove at 3b early on.

I figured Jorr would tell us the Cubs are better off on the road due to weight of Cubbie nation when they play at home. Which would then negate the 6% edge of playing at home.

I know these %s on generic home teams vs. generic road teams are more significant than Arrieta vs. the 2015 Pirates or the Cubs actual road record.

But what are the splits between teams dressed in blue vs. teams dressed in yellow?

Joe Maddon makes a difference. Kris Bryant does not.

I'm taking the difference up to 24% today.

Nearly meaningless difference.

Getting that home game would have sucked. The Cubs sure got lucky.

I'm sure the Cardinals would be more than happy to let all the games in the next round be played in St. Louis too.

I've been convinced!

Bryant is not a player that helps the Cubs win and the Cubs should play all road games!

It's possible. At least until Almora or Martinez are ready to take over there. Fowler is likely to want a long-term deal and the Cubs simply cannot block the path of those young players, for a guy who is a solid, but not exceptional player. Yes, he had a great 2nd half, as his salary drive began. But I look at his career numbers as a better predictor of future production. Plus, signing him, rather than having one of those young guys in CF in a year or two, means a higher payroll and they are going to want to use that money on another top of the rotation pitcher. I think Bryant could do a decent job there. He has the speed. Plus if Bryant is in CF, it opens up a spot for Baez or LaStella at 3rd.

So Bryant being down had no impact on anything to get to this point.

Theo Wins.
