It's possible. At least until Almora or Martinez are ready to take over there. Fowler is likely to want a long-term deal and the Cubs simply cannot block the path of those young players, for a guy who is a solid, but not exceptional player. Yes, he had a great 2nd half, as his salary drive began. But I look at his career numbers as a better predictor of future production. Plus, signing him, rather than having one of those young guys in CF in a year or two, means a higher payroll and they are going to want to use that money on another top of the rotation pitcher. I think Bryant could do a decent job there. He has the speed. Plus if Bryant is in CF, it opens up a spot for Baez or LaStella at 3rd.
