In the spirit of the season of lists and a long-time listener, thought I would offer the following based on the simple criteria of: a) enjoyable, repeat listening for the Best; b)rapid dial scrambling for the Worst. (Note: any show including Jesse in any capacity is not eligible for consideration.)

Best All-Time Shows

1) Jiggetts/North - pre-ego glory days
2) Boers/MacNeil - original smart-ass radio
3) Boers/Bernstein - smart, smart-ass radio
4) Murph at Night - maybe a bit "cubby" but still a good listen
5) Baum/Rosenbloom - cynical, intelligent, unique topics

Worst All-Time Shows

1) Buffone/VanLier - unintelligible
2) Buffone/Telander/Hood - most awkward, embarassing teaming of all time
3) North Morning Show - GONE!
4) North/Buffone -... going...
5) North solo - going...

*Special agent award to BeBe North...just think what she could do if she represented someone who actually had talent

I like that. I rate Heavy Fuel Crew higher than North/Jiggetts, but that's just me.

Good to see Rosie get some props. Wonder how the poker beat is treating him?

Yeah, I'd put Heavy Fuel at the top of the list for sure. Also, I couldn't put Murphy on the top of ANY list like that and would maybe put T Dub's late night show in the 5 spot instead. He was more entertaining IMO and much less bitter while taking a bunch of callers all the time like Murph does.

I would put HFC #1 as well, and Murph on the other list where he belongs. I would put Les at #5, just edging out T-dub. Though I miss him as well. "I love it when you call him big partner."

I know Doug/OB are only once a week and seasonal but they must be on the list.

1. Monsters- North and Jiggets put the station on the map
2. Heavy Fuel Crew-a notch below the monsters but still up there in the pantheon of SCORE shows. The old ditka shows produced some of the best moments in SCORE history.
3. Doug/OB- it is a signature show that has been on for virtually the entire time the SCORE has been broadcasting
4. Murph evenings-not quite the level of Monsters/HVC. Still this was a SCORE original show and very good for a very long time. The move to mornings was a mistake that he really has not recovered from. I still like Murph.
5. Boers and Bernstein-at it's best this is an intelligent show that has the ability to tackle complex issues and present it from many viewpoints. It does not always maintain it's best but this is a good show.

The easy answer about worst is anything the SCORE has presented in the mornings. When you think about it they have never had a show in the morning that either gets or deserves to get ratings. Putting North in that mix shows a lack of history of listening to the station. Off the top of my head Shaer, Bear and the Bull and Murph and Fred were all worse, and that is just mornings. Throw the Telander debacle into the mix and we are already just one short of the goal.
