Gets his leg broken in a 'disorderly conduct' arrest, and he's the one charged with crimes.

Turned down a plea deal (which would've just been community service) because he knew it was bogus.

Went to trial (where the NYPD showed their ass claiming they think Thabo broke his leg before the incident (https://twitter.com/DamianTrillard/stat ... 9625464832)...though he just played in a game), and not guilty on all counts.

good for him

The economics of defending something like this don't work out for the overwhelming majority of people leading to a lot of bogus records.

Thabo was lucky enough to be able to throw down 500+ per hour on this to some big name firm. They probably sent a partner and an associate to the trial. The reality is that if he could have used some former state's attorney turned defense lawyer who would have gotten it non suited by guys with whom he used to work.
