if you have the google app installed on your phone, it pays attention to your habits. if you travel back and forth somewhere everyday at the same time, it assumes that is your work trip. so, everyday a half hour before your habitual travel, it automatically gives you a message telling you if the traffic is bad or not, and how long your trip will be that day. cool.

i have also been searching for the bears schedule on google last few weeks. well, today i get a window in my notification dropdown of the current bears game score and status. very cool.

say what you want about privacy and everything... i understand why all of this is potentially dangerous... but at the same time its really fuckin nice to have all this stuff happen automatically without me presetting various apps to do this stuff.

Download your past searches

You can download all of your past searches. This gives you access to your data when and where you want.

Download a copy of your past searches
Visit your Web & App Activity page.
In the top right corner of the page, touch Menu Menu> Download searches.
Choose Create Archive.
When the download is complete, you’ll get an email confirmation with a link to the data.
Note: Downloading your past searches does not delete it from your Web & App Activity page. Learn how to delete your searches and browsing activity.

Where your downloaded data goes
When you download your past searches, a copy of your activity will be saved securely to the Takeout folder in Google Drive. You can download the files to your computer if you want a copy on your computer.

Depending on the amount of data you’re downloading, you may be have more than one file in your Takeout folder with your activity in it.

Security tips
Don’t download your past searches on public computers.
Protect your account and sensitive data with 2-Step Verification, which helps keep others out of your account even if they have your password.

that's just laziness ike.... you could easily have a traffic app set up with your default route where you press one button and have your updates, but from the way you make it sound it seems like google is just popping up with HEY UR WORK ROUTE HAS TRAFFIC info all willy nilly, which is a little bit presumptuous.... i mean, shit, if you drive to the same weed guy enough is your phone gonna start figuring out that you return to that place every 3.21 days so then when you get into your last gram and you're about to call your guy you get messages popping up with shit like "what are you doing fool? k-town has the bomb nuggets right now HOLLAR AT HIM!"

No kidding. Its ruining a lot of tvshows because there are always crimes being commited and the dude is on the phone calling people. Shit just having the phone with u puts you at the scene of the crime!
