Guys like Steve and kirkwood are unfortunately the face of the Cub fan.

But I can still be happy for guys like rpb, Peoria Matt, Dr Ken, etc.

Pump the brakes on that type of thinking Pal.

There's probably a nearby Salvation Army store ...

My best friend is a Cubs fan. I was best man at his wedding and he was best man at all of mine. I certainly would like him to be happy, but it's difficult because of all of the douchebags. When this guy got married it was to this goofy broad from a hardcore White Sox family from Gage Park. Her brother was the kind of guy that if he saw a guy having a heart attack on the sidewalk and he went over to help him and he saw the guy was wearing a Cubs shirt, he would step right over him. And he might pull out his cock and piss on him. Anyway, when I gave the toast at the wedding, I said, "And remember, you're not losing a daughter, you're gaining a Cubs fan." These fuckers actually booed.

I've said it multiple times...I had baseball nirvana in 2005, so I'm good. As such, I hope the Cubs win. Then we're can be done with this 108+ years garbage.

I know I was rooting for the Cubs to win the World Series but I thought I'd start rooting against them at some point and it just hasn't happened.

I look forward to the new more congenial rivalry between the two teams.

That's rich....so now that the Cubs are a good team with an even brighter future, you want a more congenial rivalry? No, it's high times on the North side and you can look forward to Cubs fans kicking sand in the faces of Sox fans as we enjoy a long period of superiority.

No quarter asked from here. Don't get pissy when Schwarber is hitting .220 and is a statue in the outfield next year

Or Some of us might just enjoy any and all Cub success and not worry about Sox fans.

It's a way to go

Went over to LIDS and dropped $38 on a 1959 hat. Was looking for a scrum on the way back to the office but nobody seemed to notice. Perhaps my cardigan suggested I wasn't looking for trouble.

Most of the Cub players so it seems, have class. Its many of the fans that don't, as we see here time and time again.

Steve, you use attendance and Wrigleyville to kick sand around every year regardless of if the Cubs are good or bad. Who are you crapping?

No sand kicking from this Cub fan. But whatever gets you up in the morning Steve. Try not to let the pain outweigh the pleasure of this historic playoff run.

Hey, I could try to bullshit people and make some magnanimous statement about how we can all just get along and hold hands and sing Kumbaya. Maybe after I join the NAACP.

so today at our kids school they were allowed to wear blue and red instead of their usual uniforms --CUBS SPIRIT DAY!

had I known this earlier I would have ordered some 80s throwback Sox gear for my kids.

I wouldn't want a school indoctrinating my kid into Cubdom either.
