Him and Truman are probably the most underrated ever. Bush 1 could have been great too if he had a second term.

Yeah, maybe he could've gone after Saddam again...

LBJ was the President who escalated the war in Vietnam.

He didn't want to. The question was, "Has any president changed your life?" Clearly LBJ would qualify as one.

Obviously, Lincoln changed lots of lives. I'm saying, which president in your lifetime, if another guy had been elected, do you think your life would be radically different? I'm gonna guess that, whoever is elected president in 2016, a lot of us are gonna be here in five years discussing how much bernstein sucks and celebrating the Cubs third World Series title since 1908.

I'm an LBJ guy. The guy had great courage to do what he did regarding the Civil Rights Bill. He was a legislator's legislator. Vietnam killed his legacy. The Great Society was also not the albatross that conservatives would have you think. Affirmative Action falls under that umbrella as well. The African American middle class increased as a result of Affirmative Action. Vietnam will forever hang over him though.

I think that we would have been better off with a 2nd term of HW. I believe that the policies of W caused me to make a change in employment after the housing market crashed. In some ways it was beneficial and in other ways it sucked.
