He is actually a big fan. knows the players, the team history. So what if he's been to a few Sox games, so have I. I've been to a couple dozen, including the 2nd game of the ALDS series VS Boston in 2005. It was fun and exciting. I have also been to a Brewers playoff game. Doesn't make me a Brewers fan. I love the game and playoff Baseball is great theater. Cusack is most definitely a Cubs fan, first and foremost, as is his sister Joan.

they would never do this, and neither would he, but i think that would be awesome gesture if they made the world series. as stupid as the Cubs and certain fans have been regarding this guys place in cubs history it would be great to finally let this guy off the hook. i just watched that movie "Catching Hell" and have to say that moment in time was hard to watch not because of what Bartman did wrong, but because of what the Cubs, their fans, and the media covering the event did.

Yeah, he made it worse though by issuing an apology and going into hiding. There was a pack of dudes reaching for that ball. I really think he was the guy that got tagged with it because of the way he was dressed, the headphones, and the deer caught in the headlights look he put on. He should have thrown a punch at the guy throwing beer at him. And at least if his name was going to become synonymous with the goat, he could have put a million bucks or so in his pocket. He's had the opportunities.

i actually admire his silence on the matter and his desire to be left alone. the fact that he does not want to profit off of the worst cubs failure in the teams history speaks volumes to me about how much the guy cares (cared) for the team. at least he isn't a meatball shill out there making an ass out of himself.
