Sitting back and telling me about "Wishing for the Mets" is just not correct.

People wanted the Dodgers, especially after using Grienke and Kershaw.

We all know the Mets staff is deeper.

Thanks for the Breakdown Dusty!

True. You were only gonna get Grienke for one game.

Dodgers lineup is slightly better. But not by much.

Syndergaard 9-7 3.24 ERA

deGrom 14-8 2.54 ERA

Matz 4-0 2.27 ERA

Harvey 13-8 2.71 ERA

No doubt that is a strong group. But let's not act like they are unhittable or unbeatable. If the Cubs bats are working they can beat any of these guys.

I know the Mets are better now....

Cubs were 7-0 this season against the Mets, outscoring New York, 27-11

So are the Cubs

I missed the World Series where Philly won with Hamels, Halliday, Lee and Oswalt.

The Dodgers just finished 0-3 WS appearances with Kershaw and Greinke.

It'll be OK.

If the Cubs don't win both of the Arieta games, they'll lose the series. Cuz I think they'll lose one of the Lester games. That's how I see it.

They'll have to bail out the other pitchers to win this series. But can't give up an Arieta game.

You're down to it now. Doesn't matter who you play.

You have to win every Arrieta game. Anything outside that is luck.

So, if the Cubs LOSE the 2 games that their ace starts, out of 7, they will lose the series.

I see you are all going out on a limb with those predictions.

Didn't say I was going out on a limb. Just saying that's it in a nut shell.

But if they play Toronto or KC, I wouldn't say they have to win both Arrieta games. Cuz those staffs aren't as good as the Mets.

@LenKasper If the Cubs can find a way to win 4 games, I think we take the series.

i'm not even saying they're unbeatable... i'm just saying that this will be a harder matchup than ppl assume cuz if you wanted to face the mets over the dodgers then.... well, lol man, the dodgers just get to the playoffs by default. the mets are having more of a "magical year" like the cubs are, and purely in terms of baseball i can't wait to see this series go down.

nobody in baseball is 100% unhittable. nobody is 100%unbeatable.... im just saying the cubs have to up their game and beat the best rotation in the playoffs to get through this series, and we'll see if they can do it.

it's just odd to me how like you gotta completely bow down and concede that the cubs are the giant favorite for everything now and if you even try saying "yeah this NLCS is finna be tricky" people get all flustered like you just insulted their ballclub.... dude if i were a mets fan i'd be scared shitless right now, put it that way.

Who got all flustered?

I think everyone realizes it is going to be a tough series.

But I think that like Hockey Gay has been saying, the style of pitching the Mets have helps the Cubs out. They hit guys like the Mets have better than guys like Lackey.

I will say it goes 7. Hope the Cubs can pull it out.

this is why i get annoyed by cubs fans.... it's like you have to bow down and worship the cubs and can't even say that you think another team has a pretty good shot against them because it's like i'm somehow taking something/anything away from the cubs by saying that the mets are pretty damn good too.

seriously dude, tell me where i insulted the cubs or said METS IN 5 or i'm running around telling everyone they have no chance.... i'm just tossing in some perspective that the dodgers losing tonight prolly means a harder path to the promised land.

i'd tell cubs fans to act like they've been in the endzone b4, but who am i kidding? y'all prolly need to go to google maps to find a football field =P

One AB at a time.

Cubs need to grind away. Lots of pitches.

wait what? dude where have i given a prediction? i just said that the mets have really good young pitching and that will be a tough tough test if not problem for the cubs really good young hitting.... and this is somehow hedging my bets cuz i'm saying both teams are good?

can anyone out there understand why i became an expos fan? jesus christ almighty! =D

all i've said about this series is BEWARE THE METS cuz they cna pitch to the cubs.... i have no idea who's gonna win and i cant wait to watch it. if anyone wants to tell me where i have besmirched or otherwise slandered the cubs please let me know, otherwise its like SHADDAP NYAH NYAH NYAH CUBBBBBBBIIIIEEEESSSS!!!! and when i say anything in response the cubs gang all looks at each other like "OH SHIT HE'S REALLY MAD NOW! LOOK AT HOW WE'RE BREAKING HIM!"

this is why i when i got into baseball for real i followed my heart/gut and went with my guy vlad.

Just looking at the whole LA/NYM series, this does shape up well for the Cubs. I don't know, I like a 6 game series. Maybe Monster Ball with Cousin It won't be so bad.
