Can't complain. Maybe it's the fact that it's a 7 game series, but I'm shockingly calm about this whole thing.

With Ross and Lester coming up after Baez, this was an inning you looked to get the offense going?? Okay....

What can I say? I'm an optimist.

Is Harvey that good tonight or are we just cold & tight?

Well, the temperature didn't jump 25 degrees when Lester served up that meatball to Murphy. Say it like ya mean it.

That is true. I was waiting for Murphy to request his choice of vegetable and potato to go with that meat.

Wish it would have hit Harvey in the head instead.

This is over. Cubs aren't scoring a run. Harvey looks like Arrieta.

Except he hasn't gone deep into games in a while. Mostly 5-6 inning starts.

They're everywhere.

You ever notice how all the couples dealing with bugle dysfunction are attractive?

man this is shades of NLDS game 1 all over again.... the cubs go behind early (again) and they're timid and nervous and not hitting the opposing starter.... and one area i havent seen the cubs shine in yet is the prolonged deficit where they get worked for 3-4+ innings and then come back..... typically when the cubs went down 1-0 or 2-0 they'd turn around with a big crooked # to take the lead back with authority and then get back to the frontrunning that they're so good at.

and let's be real here: every team in pro sports, let alone baseball is better at frontrunning..... but this cubs team has been timely/lucky/good-if-not-great at coming back within an inning or two and taking that lead right back with a little extra cushion.... but they havent done that yet, and this time around harvey isn't just no hitting them after 4....it's a perfect game.

so yeah dealing with prolonged adversity is an area that i wanted/needed to see this cubs team deal with in order to cement their WS-champ-bonafides with me..... and it looks like they're gonna get a chance tonight cuz harvey's got his good stuff and you really gotta hope that lester can mirror his game 1 performance and keep it at 1-0 so if the cubs can crack the levees/dam then it can crumble and a flood of runs comes, most likely on a HR (cuz isnt somthing scary like 16/17 runs the cubs scord this postseason coming off of the HR? i didnt wanna say anything b4 and get crucified by the cubs fans here, but that's kind of troublsome going forward cuz if you're 90-95%+ depending on the longball for runs..... well that spigot could get shut off and then you'd have problems.

wsowoowow even tho it took me 3-4 tries to post that, welp, there ya go cubs! way to get a run not due to a HR.... tho still that was effectively a HR as idk wtf lagares was doing but i reckon cubs/fans will take it. yeeeeehaw.

seriously i was telling ppl in #hardball it's time for the cubs to put a big crooked # on the board cuz this is what they do post-game-1 when they fall behind. make the other team pay for their mistakes.... and welp, castro done did it. remember when IMU was leading the charge to get him upstairs and get him out of here up until september? ahhhh the good ol days.

Unproductive out from Soler. Should have advanced the runner at least.

Nice that the bat was still in the way.

Castro taking too wide a turn rounding third.

Nope. Have to trust Baez to get the runner home from 3rd with just 1 out.
