But you're right, that wasn't a bad pitch. It was a good pitch. The bitch just got it. What are you gonna do

If you think back, and it's crazy to say, but he wasn't very sharp against the Pirates, so we're talking three starts in a row now that he's struggled.

I know he couldn't keep up the dominance that he had going, but damn, he's not fooling anyone.

Maybe fatigue as well.

Yeah, he's way past his career innings number. That has to factor into it.

Maybe he will settle down and Cubs also use the wind. It is early.

Listen, the Cubs are cursed. Accept it guys. Curses are indeed real. Being given a chance to go to the World Series only to get the shit kicked out of you by a team that doesn't belong here is proof of that.

It's probably for the best. I'm not ready for Yellowstone to erupt if the Cub would win the WS.

In cold weather, wouldn't it behoove a pitcher to wear long sleeves to keep the arm and muscles warm?

Murphy should be tested for steroids too. This guy is a fucking bum but now he's launching curve balls low and inside out the park? Don't think so. Fucking cheater.

maybe the Mets scouted Arrieta and realized he's a junk-baller who rarely throws strikes.

Ump bails out Arrieta, calling ball 4 strike 3 to stop the bleeding.

he got the movement back on his fastball

looks like he was being WAY too hyper on his setup early on. now hes leaning back, kicking the leg and throwing like the machine he is. pitches are looking much better already

yeah, that's what i was thinking.... plus this spot tonight with the cubs down 0-1 and game 3 having their playoff/ace going up against hendricks? maybe the whole CANT LOSE TONIGHT thing = extra pressure?

either that or arrieta is just doing what great pitchers often do and that's give up 1st inning runs.

...however i have it under reasonable authority that the bleached blonde burrito gave up 3R to the cubs in may so there will be some runs coming back. let's see if arrieta can hold it down going forward and give the cubs bats a chance to claw back, cuz as much as i like syndergaard he isnt 100% unhittable. he isn't arr..... like that pirate movie, he isn't rated ARRRRRR!!!!

Haven't we watched enough shit hockey playoff games to realize that it is best of seven.

The Mets can be gotten.

They won their bum ass division and got the Dodgers who have been doing to October flameout for over two decades.

Sit down and calm down.

Three runs isn't something crazy to overcome, but the Cub looked shell-shocked right now. Then again, I could just be projecting my feelings onto them.

They also beat and are their way to beating the 3 best starting pitchers in the league. It's a little more than luck don't you think?

Don't believe this franchise is cursed? Temperature goes from the 70's to the 40's for a team that is awful in cold weather.

Not a good idea for the catcher to chirp about the K-zone his first at-bat. You got caught looking, go get your gear and Image
