If they played today, winds gusting out to RF....knocking down garbage cans...and has gotten close to 20 degrees warmer from 9 AM when it was 51. Right now 70

really wish they had a game this afternoon

going to the window = I'm betting Hendricks and a wager on the Cubs to win the NLCS

I've bet very little baseball during the playoffs, time to get off the couch

Cubs win tomorrow 7-5, rainout Wednesday , give both teams a rest with their pitchers...how they deal with that could determine the rest!

I'd stay on the couch.

Frank is the only one with sense in this thread, and that's a terrible occurrence.

I have said it several times......this year has always been about experience and growth. The experience these young players have gotten from these playoff games (That's GAMES, not game Francis) is invaluable. I said it was still a year early and it probably will play out to be true. Like many, I got caught up in all the excitement, but the rotation is just not probably deep enough with quality arms. That said, it's not over yet and I'll be there for this game hoping they can get back in the series and keep this fun from ending.

This game hinges entirely on whether deGrom has anything left in the tank. The wind, the temperature... none of that will matter if he's on. Only Cubs fans would watch their team get shut down in two straight games to lead off the NLCS then blame it on the weather and not their opponent's doomsday pitching staff.

If deGrom is out of gas he'll be throwing only a little harder than Hendricks and the Cubs have a legit 50/50 shot of winning.

deGrom wasn't out of gas when the Cubs beat him earlier this season. Warmer weather, home field.....the Cubs should score more runs even against a good pitcher like deGrom. they hit a good fastball better than a good curve. Lots of good fastball hitters on this team.

Definitely. Rizzo is a low ball hitter. He missed a lot of them in games 1 & 2.

They were 6-0 against the Mets in the regular season and we all see how that's turned out.

High of 71 today with temp at 67 at first pitch.

Excellent that Mother Nature is cooperating with the Cubs given MLB doing all they can to rig the playoffs against the Cubs.

Line dropped from Mets opening -130.

After adding Cespedes at the trade deadline, Mets offense out-slugged the Cubs for the rest of the regular season:

not sure wind blowing out favors the Cubs.
