if anything the collective city of chicago owes the mets for ripping off the super bowl shuffle (tho in fairness others were doing it too, cuz who can forget the timeless LA rams song called "ram it"? no undertones there whatsoever!

i'll refrain from saying that degrom is any good cuz doing that has gotten me in a whole bunch of trouble around these parts, so i'll just predict a baseball game happens today...... after buyern munich crushes my heart at 1:45pm.

I have said it several times......this year has always been about experience and growth. The experience these young players have gotten from these playoff games (That's GAMES, not game Francis) is invaluable. I said it was still a year early and it probably will play out to be true. Like many, I got caught up in all the excitement, but the rotation is just not probably deep enough with quality arms. That said, it's not over yet and I'll be there for this game hoping they can get back in the series and keep this fun from ending.

When you're in the NLCS, and one of 4 teams left standing, it's nice to say this year is about experience and growth, but it's really about winning the World Series.

Is it?

Mets -108
Cubs -102

at my place, but I assume those lines are being slightly manipulated for Cub plays

I have a feeling you will see the Mets line jump back in the last hour before game time.

During one of the rain delays Joe and the boys do a rousing rendition of "It's Raining Men" then go out and get no hit

Wow. You really think a starting pitcher is fresher in July than he is in October? That is just good stuff there. You cannot find that sort of pitching breakdown anywhere. How do you not have a job at MLB Network yet?

I wasn't even alive for the original Super Bowl shuffle. Dont pander to me, sini.

There was no "one city" shit in 2005 but now, if Sox fans dont root for the Cubs, it makes us traitorous scum.

Well, the guy he replaced him with was robbed of a homer.

I still feel Cogs should be in every lineup against the tough RHP of the Mets.

He is a long-time, scream from the hilltops Cubs fan that owns season tickets. Kap isn't hiding anything. Never, ever has.

You really see him as similar to ZZ? Really?

I don't; ZZ gets a paycheck from the Bears so his shtick makes some degree of sense.

Messmer = Wins

I mean, how much more Chicago can you get than having a guy singing the National Anthem that got shot in the throat?

I'm glad they have Mesmer singing. The only thing in Chicago more overrated than Navy Pier is Jim Cornelison.

I listened to about 20 minutes of Leery just so in case the Cubs lost tonight the game wouldn't be the lowest point of my night.
