Actually, the Murphy performance kind of proves that it is. At least somewhat. You can have the best scouts and super computer in the world try and put together a team that should win X amount of games and make the playoffs. Then a guy like Murphy or Freese or Konerko gets hot over a 3-4-5 game stretch and throws a wrench into the entire thing.

IMO, its part of what makes playoff baseball great.

Just pointing out that every team has players you can question, except the White Sox of course.

Josh Beckett has to be on there.

Fun Fact- Josh Beckett is the only pitcher so far to ever get a hit at New Comiskey Park/US Cellular Field.

I would like to discuss the amazingness of the soon to be FA Danny The Amazing Murphy.

Sorry, just cant see a guy touch balls like that and watch them fly without thinking about what everyone else is thinking about.

Took june off for "Quad Tightness" and is now having one of the all time greatest Post seasons ever. Not just good, but historically great. Even showing speed of beating out Ground balls, which cant be questioned in his 2 SB's this year.

2 guys at vines in pregame, both drafted MLB players, said the same thing, you just dont get on that run without some help. You dont hit HR's one handed tee shots like that, not including the foul ball.

Will add this simple statement. Everyone at the table agreed. If 29 years old, looking at possible generational wealth with a contract, you would see all of us look into and probably doing the same thing. This includes 2 doctors at the table.

Not taking anything away from the mets....but still get to call it like I...and everyone else...should see them.

Who cares? Obviously the club doesn't... they employ Manny Ramirez. As a hitting coach. To influence young players. Just think about all of that for a minute.

Just to put the capper on this game ... on this day in the year 1910, the Cubs lost at home 12-5 to the Philadelphia A's, led by the A's Daniel Murphy homering in the top of the 3rd inning.
