What the hell happened to Hammel here in the second half of the year? He's completely fallen off the cliff yet hasn't shown any signs of injury or velocity drop, so what gives?

We got him for what, two more years?

well hey, aren't you sick of the cubs dominating the chicago sports market when the franchise is so historically bad and terrible? =D

They don't dominate it. We're a football town. Football football football. BEARRRRRRSSSS!!!!!

Well, on Turner Classic Movies right now is 'The Producers' ... Science Channel is showing a string of 'How Do They Do It' episodes ... 'Andy Griffith' on MeTV ... Flyers @ Bruins on NBCS ... and if you're looking for something less violent and degrading than the beating the Cubs are taking right now, on TV1 they're showing 'Roots'.

I have never seen a team get shelled in the 1st inning of every damn game like this. Wow.

This is much better than blowing a late inning lead. Plus they are down 0-3 anyways.

Kyle has had a couple of rough games out there, but let's pump the brakes on moving that bat to another team. He'll be servicable defensively which is fine.

I get it. Hammel would still have to start another game in this series.

i dont see why you dont start arrietta. its the last game. if they win then you let hammel try. the last thing you want is a sweep. now the goat is back!

This simple point seems to elude the simple.

Yes, you can, if his bat is worth it.

As long as he doesn't eat himself out of the league, he can man a corner OF spot. And it's all futile anyway, the DH is coming to NL sooner than we all think.

Haren isn't on the playoff roster, nor should he be.

OK if that is what you want but Bernsie spent years wanting to be rid of Viciedo. Welcome to it.

None of this second-guessing matters. The Cubs were down 3-0 and will lose this series, and there was no amount of managerial moves that would have prevented it. The Mets have beat them in every possible way.

Glad to see Bryant continues his trend of being shitty in the playoffs. Another easy 1st inning, with another inning of no leadoff man getting on.
