Well Montero didn't die, so at least we're not killing anyone out there tonight.

There are still two innings left. Colon could power thru a couple 7 Bison Dogs and have a grabber.

Who will be the first poster to criticize the Cub fans in attendance when they give their team a standing ovation at the game's conclusion?

Who was it the Sox got for Addison Reed? Didn't he go to Arizona and then get released by them earlier this season?

You should google "White Sox." That record that pops up is pretty funny.

All Cub fans should walk out of Wrigley now. This has been a shit fest. Team quit after game 2, and tonight has been another bed wetting from a lot of supposed "studs"

The weather is too nice. And there are probably no seats at the bars around the stadium.

I guarantee Murphy goes 0-for-73 in the World Series.

That's how this works.

the white sox won their world series from doing it the right way, right? not having a bunch of good pitchers go off?

if anything the 05 white sox should give the cubs hope cuz i dont think too many of them were white sox products.... just buehrle, right? wasnt garland a cubs farmhand? then freddy/contreras/hernandez were all from elsewhere.... and i think mccarthy made a few starts.... but yeah, you can assemble the right pitching..... and man if this team got some deep pitching behind it while the core guys improve their offense, yeah, still looking good.... but i think the first 4-5 years of THE PLAN just kinda assumed they could piecemeal/buy pitching "when it's time" (fucking pedantic bullshit) and well..... oh man what am i stressing here? ahead of schedule! this team wasnt supposed to do shit!

So that's 23 of Bryant's 28 homers coming at home. Has there ever been such an extreme split in history for batters with more than 25 hr?

I would say a Rockies or Braves player without looking into it.

Ironically, his first homer came on the road in Milwaukee. I was there with my Son and will always be happy to have witnessed it first hand, though the cubs did lose the game. I'm guessing he will hit more on the road AND at home next season. The best is yet to come. If he is going to do better somewhere, I'm glad it's at home, where I am more likely to be able to watch them sail out of the park.

Theo came up short at this All-Star break picking up rag-armed Dan Haren and not trying to pilfer a quality starter from someone.

But jimmy, we didn't hit this series. That's why we lost.

as i said in anther thread a min ago, this team has to get better at manufacturing runs. the dustyesque gameplan of waiting for the 2-3R HR kind of fell short when the pitching got better in the NLCS cuz that's what pummeled the suckass cardinals into submission in the NLDS. as i've been saying i think 14/17 cubs runs in WC/NLDS came from HRs.... you need more runs without slugging/XBH to have a better chance against top top pitching going forward.

I've seen enough of La Stella. Missed most of the season, and when he finally came back he was average at best. Playoffs, he was bad.
