You get taken in by the way that B&B treat callers.
You don't seem to realize how it is set up.
Yesterday they had a caller on who was apparently on previously with bad results.
As soon as he started talking, Dan started yelling at him to hang up and never call in again.
He told him to dig a hole, climb in and pull all the dirt in on top of himself.
The caller kept trying to make a point and Dan would allow him a sentence or two before he began screaming at him again.
This went on for a couple of minutes.
Here is what nobody seems to understand.
It's a bit.
They want you to get all revved up at Dan's way of being rude to people.
They know you are going to talk about it and keep listening.
If the caller is unwanted, the producers/screeners should recognize who it is and not put him on the air.
They have caller ID to look out for problem callers, too.
When Dan found out that this was a repeat caller that he didn't like, he should have been disconnected immediately.
No! He was kept on and on so the situation could be milked for as long as possible.
Listeners who fall for this schtick are a bunch of rubes.

This is a pretty bad poem.

You have a picture of you with fish as your avatar. You know that Dan hates you for that right?

Now if you had a picture of you holding a fish in one hand and the Stanley Cup in another he would really hate you.

But as BMR notes, that was a mess of a haiku.

Steve we have entire threads with comments from SCORE people on that very theory.

A thread with bad poetry and fish pictures?
Does it get any better than that?

Exactly. It's not a bit, they're just too lazy to screen.

I noticed the sighs after 'how are you guys' was back this week. And I only sampled a few callers trying to get to Murph stories.

I look at those pictures and want to believe Dan is a normal and nice guy. There is a certain authentic quality to those photos of a man loving life and spending time with his son. But how that contrasts with the tone of his Tweets and show.

Steve, we all know this guy is a master troll. The only way to avoid the bait is to listen to a different show. And yes our choices are bad and limited.

There is nothing authentic about Bernstein except for his high strunged ness.

As is so often the case with WSCR, I don't know whether it was a case of laziness or incompetence, but one of the funnier update gaffes I can remember was when Rodewald (I think it was him) kept repeating the line "the Titans have released offensive coordinator Heimerdinger." So either he saw the headline and couldn't be arsed to get the guy's name, he thought the guy's name was first name Heimer, last name Dinger, or just decided "Mike Heimerdinger" was too damn many syllables for two updates per hour. Finally Bernstein called attention to how stupid it sounded. Just one of those little things over the years that I filed away as Concentrated Score.

Of course they do. How many times has Danny mentioned that he blocked certain texters? #IsThatAThreat

I loved when Mac unblocked a ton of numbers, just to piss off Bernstein.
