Had to come home to leave a ticket for someone and there is a small army of traffic cops, horse cops, bike cops, swat, national guard....then you add in the bouncers with a radio who think they are part of Homeland security and I think we could invade Syria tonight.

Last night especially was the $1500 ticket crowd. It was the most calm crowd of the season. Do you think the 45 year old soccer dad from Glencoe is climbing the light pole?

Sure, you are going to have your idiots in a crowd of 300K +, but the % is lower and lower as the prices went up....OK , tonight prices arent so high, but they arent clinching anything either....I guess we are fearful of the mets 2000 fans?

FYI, Mets have a tent set up on Addsion, west of 7 -11 in the parking lot for their potential party. If you are a mets fan and care.

OK, gotta get my vest on and venture in the crowd...saying prayers!

!

You are forgetting the state police that were in force both inside and outside the stadium.

Wrigleyville looked like the closing scene from The Blues Brothers

and if some crazy riot would have broken out without much police presence you'd be first to post that the City fucked up by not having enough cops....

Once again, Its the playoffs. Seats are big $$$ and the level of scumbag drops way down.

The Glencoe Vice Lords and Winnetka Familia were probably not going to get into it.

Interesting to see the attendance profiles.

Tuesday night was tons of guys without GFS and wives. Pretty much the pivot game of the series.

Wed Night, close to over....tons of GF and Wives.

biggie, would you say that the police/authority presence last night was noticeably bigger than tuesday night or during the NLDS? '

if so, what i'm thinking is that since the neighborhood was billed as THE PLACE TO BE after the WC game victory and after the NLDS (if not individual games) all i can think of is that the free promotion for HEY COME DOWN AND STAND IN THE MIDDLE OF CLARK/ADDISON WITH EVERYONE ELSE GOING WOO BY THE SIGN!!!!!!! in the form of constant cameras on the crowd there on multiple networks, maybe the cops were there just to make sure that pissed off drunks who couldnt afford to make it into the stadium didn't wreck shit.

Yes, there was an increasing force out there. Each night, more and more..

While less and less happened.

Within minutes of game ending, you saw police walking home with helmets off....I really dont know what they had in mind would happen? The pissed of fans from a Sweep would burn down Barleycorns? Trust me...the owner would be OK with it...collect the insurance, close up for the winter, rebuild....april 1, reopen
