that's the highlight for me. getting past that team felt great. that was their world series.

and all it took was the Cardinals not having their best pitcher to make that happen.

Like the White Sox beating the Angels in 2005 (without the Cy Young winner)

They'll be playing that all offseason as they advertise the radio broadcast move from 780 to 670.

Fortunately that didn't end up being the highlight of the post season for the Sox.

2005

The White Sox won that series four games to one. I think they'd have done just fine.

Going into the season, I thought they had a chance to make the playoffs, but didn’t think much of their pitching staff. They caught some magic and played really well, including the pitching.
I’m jealous of their potential and could only wish the White Sox had this good of a season.
Enjoy it.

We'll never know.

But the thing was to point out that the Cardinals best pitcher was out in the series the Cubs won.

In 2005 the best pitcher in the whole league was out when the Sox won. Injuries happen.

Yes, the Cubs won 97 regular season games, the Wildcard VS the 98 win Pirates and the NLDS VS the 100 win Cardinals, before losing in the NLCS. They far exceeded the expectations of most anyone for 2015. This is just the beginning of what should be a real nice run for this team.

Well it wont be long before WSCR goes 100% WCUB.

Jimmy,

I am convinced that you are the old guy who is calling B&B talking about the Cubs & Mets in 1969.

I remember that Met's team more than the no-name lineup that beat the crap out of these Cubs.

If they only would have semi-intentionally walked Murphy about 4-5 times,I still wonder what kind of attack the Mets would have had.
