Braun is not as bad as him, and has a much better arm.

Yes, I played the clown car music at times for him. He still has not made the proper adjustment to Right Field, he looked much more comfortable in Left.

A good GM entertains trade offers for anyone, regardless of how good they are. If the price is right, you pull the trigger.

That said, Schwarber is the surest young player the Cubs have in terms of future offensive production.

Bryant didn't not hit in the playoffs because of pressure. He didn't hit because he has many flaws. He is a tall hitter with a very extended, uppercut swing. This can lead to a decent number of homers, but it also leads to a lot of strikeouts and weak flyouts, and it always will. If Kris Bryant tries to shorten and level his swing, he becomes something he's not and you take away his primary strength.

Schwarber doesn't have those problems, as he is short and has a quick swing. He gets extended, but its a quick extension. He has much more opportunity to adjust his approach than Bryant does, IMO.

He's currently a butcher in the field, but I think Theo Hoyer will be hesitant to trade their most dangerous offensive weapon that is homegrown unless they get an unreal offer.

So, which young Cubs players do you expect to be better offensively?

Probably could have said that about Rizzo before he found the B hack.

I think Bryant can improve but what he already is right now is prettay, pretttay good.

According to NEIFI, a player evaluation and forecasting system developed by former Brewers manager of baseball research and development Adam Guttridge and licensed to MLB teams, Schwarber’s projected 2016 production per plate appearance ranks 13th among hitters who’ll be younger than 27 next June, slightly ahead of the Rockies’ Nolan Arenado. That’s particularly impressive given that Schwarber is the third-youngest player in the top 20, after Carlos Correa and (by two months) Miguel Sano. (Some chicken soup for the Cubs fan’s soul: Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant rank fourth and eighth, respectively.)

nice.

after like a week in the majors I said Kyle Schwarber would be a HOF'er. I am just slightly less bullish now, but I will stick with my prediction.
