After reading the details of that case it would appear impossible to prosecute as there really isn't any physical evidence.

When then are we as fans to make of a story like the Riberio case? Is the nanny lying or embellishing what happened, or is she telling the truth? Should everyone just shut their mouths until all the facts come out, even knowing full well that that may never happen?

Why would you or Baffoe conflate Ribeiro and Kane? These are two separate cases with separate facts. Leading a charge against "rape culture" ceases to be admirable when the people leading said charge are indifferent to ruining the life of an innocent person because his innocence fails to further their political agenda. You believe the nanny in the Ribeiro case. Great. Do you also believe the witnesses in the Kane case that caused the DA to pretty much scoff at the allegations?

Patrick Kane is a person. He isn't some abstract concept or representation of "rape culture". People like Baffoe don't care about that. It's why I hope they one day find themselves in a similar situation.
