Thank goodness that Bridgewater can't throw a deep ball accurately.

I thought the Vikings were supposed to be a lot better than their showing so far today.

Any perceived gains I get from this team are so quickly and thoroughly obviated by bad luck, bad players, and bad game coaching.

Which, in reality, is fine. I don't need this outfit stumbling into the backdoor of the playoffs anyway ... and I don't need them getting some middling draft pick either.

It's just difficult for me to root "against" the Bears even though the greater good is met by their losing this year.

They were, but the same could be said about Arizona, Atlanta and Cincinnati today :puker: :pukel:

welp eddie royal is out for the game.... forte's still in the lockerroom so this is no good. a TD here could go a long way to icing this game.

also

i think the vikings are capable of beating bad teams like the 49ers, but when you face a decent team like the bears they're exposed as being bumslayers themselves. bridgewater seems hit or miss at this point and today we're getting a definite miss cuz man, fuller was burned and the vikings had 6pts right there for them on that horribly overthrown longball.

forte officially ?able for a return, but i'd say very doubtful.

No, it isn't 'the greater good' if they lose, unless by losing they get MORE picks. I'm wary of the automatic thinking that a higher draft pick = better. Actually a higher draft pick = more money tied up into an unproven commodity.

Rule changes to rookie contracts during the last cba makes this more of a non issue.

Having a wider variety of talent available to select from that comes with higher picks is more beneficial than being a 7-9 team stuck in football hell year in and year out.

Especially a team that is rebuilding.

Let me add San Diego to that list. Good thing for me I featured players from these fucking teams in DF this week :x .

At least Rivers and J. Jones are kind of coming through.

Because nobody has ever thought to trade a higher draft pick for two or more lower ones.

Not on the bears.

I know this has become a familiar talking point this year, but I do believe the coaches on the Bears staff actually being competent has something to do with what we're seeing here today as well.

i have just as much confidence in the bears to blow the #3-4 overall pick as opposed to the #7-10 draft pick.

that said, if the bears can fight towards being .500 this year at least you're possibly a step or two ahead of where you thought you are.... unless you go and get rid of cutler this offseason then you could end up being 4-12 next year even if you end up getting a nice player in the top 5-10.

My biggest fear is the bears draft Hackenberg. He's like Cutler 2.0: same lazy mechanics, just less talented.

Switched over to NFL RZ, who were showing the Tampa/Atl game, and saw Chris Conte is playing for Lovie

Major Wright is a starting safety for Lovie as well.
