The whole Matt and his wife thing needed to be addressed.

Good episode.

Didnt NEED to be addressed, and if so, sure as hell didnt need the entire episode to literally just focus on them. Whats the point of having all these other characters that you actually want to hear about. You got a lil bit of Murphy and his program of shutting down everyone with any thought of Other forces, but thats it.

Best part of the hour was going through the camp of those who want in.

Matt is a main character. It seems like every episode is mostly focusing on one person's point of view.

The show continues to be as depressing as hell. There was actually a bit of humor in the first couple episodes but this hour...

Although The Bellamy Brothers thing was kind of interesting until it got depressing as hell, too.

I think it was a very interesting episode, though. It brings his faith vs. his actions into question with all the things he ultimately did (or potentially did) and what he felt he needed to atone for at the end. How much of it actual atonement or how much is how unsure he is about what he thinks he's done.

Dont know, but didnt need a full hour to contemplate it. if you want to make it more of the show, thats fine, but needed a break from the Matt thing, have other stuff in the show.

I'm on episode 9 of Season 1. This is one weird show but I do like it.

If you watched the first one...they got you hooked because you just want to find out what happened....

Yep. No way I'm not gonna watch.

Yeah it was just very strange and not a character that I really care a lot about but I have to figure the writers want to
tie his story back in. Wondering if she actually did come back as herself for that short period of time when he knocked
her up. At first I wasn't sure until the fireman knew exactly what had happened. I question the time I put into this show
more and more as the season goes on so I hope that there is some kind of payoff coming soon, next week looks a bit
more exciting based on the preview.

Another solid episode last night.

Matt has a new congregation in the park, Nora and Erika are tossing rocks through each other's window, and Kevin confesses his relationship with Ghost Patti.

The Ghostbusters wannabe guy was a little over the top. Would expect a little more tact when trying to really investigate something and you pull out the death ray gun on someone on the front porch. kind of a goofy way to reveal the first real theory on the show, then via a call from an unknown character. Major turning point in the whole show poorly delivered.

This season is so much better than the first

Agreed.

And I liked the first season.

But this is miles better.

It's almost like they had to get through the source material in season one before they were able to spread their creative wings and really excel.

Tons of potential and its not bad, just saying I think the writers are missing some potentially great scenes, such as the explanation of the devil thing...and the call from Lori Garvey....both should have been scenes of characters face to face.. Could have cut the chase scene of the kid.

I agree this season has been better than last. By moving to Texas they really had a chance to reshuffle the deck and
fix some of the first season missteps. It's been very interesting.

Kevin is not dead. He'll wake up when the kid tries to bury him. I think.

Yeah I don't feel that he's dead either due to the kid coming in at the end.

He didn't look too surprised to see his grandfather dead.

In the scenes from next week the kid is looking down and has a WTF look (Kevin waking up?)



What the hell was the grandpa's motivation?

Maybe he's "training" the kid to take over?

Or training Kevin?

Who knows.

But this season has been fantastic.
