True. But I'll still pay for a ticket and rock the fuck out.

I'll say VH w/ Hagar in 2003 or so was damn good. Still had Anthony for backing harmonies. He makes all the difference.

Egos that size never can co-exist for long.

I was always under the impression that Roth was the problem, and maybe ultimately he was, but then Eddie did Haggar wrong as well didn't he? Then he turned on Anthony as well correct? Where was Alex in all that? Does he just do whatever Eddie says?

Taking it back to GnR, I'm sure as the years have gone by, Slash has come to the realization that he was just as important to their success as was Rose. I'm guessing he voted against having Axl jump from an aircraft carrier and then swim with dolphins. Then again, he might not have even been conscious for the vote anyway.

Based on 2014 footage, he’s not quite as large as that pic, but for a while there he did blow up. Happens to us all.

I hope this happens and will watch from the sideline. AFD is an amazing record. UYI has great moments and some crap filled in. Would make a great single album. I love the covers on there, but they would have been fine left out. I’d even leave “Don’t Cry” off, but that’s just me.

Right Next Door to Hell
Dust n Bones
Don't Cry
You Ain't the First
November Rain
the Garden
Garden Of Eden
Dead Horse
Coma
Civil War
Yesterdays
Locomotive
Estranged
You Could Be Mine

Your band ever mix in any GNR to your shows?

No....to Axl and do it justice is very difficult. I'd like to, though. Sweet Child O' Mine would go over really well with the bars we play. My vote...I'd love to play "You Could Be Mine". IMO...that's their best song.

I recently watched a concert of theirs on Palladium. Might have been 2012 but my point is he may look like shit but he basically can still sing.

Axl can sing over six octaves...so his range is better than everyone by a note or two. He is a bass, baritone, and tenor.

If there is a concert at Alpine Valley, I'd consider taking the wife.

I remember reading that somewhere.

Absolutely crazy.

One of the greatest voices of all time.

1 great album.

I all time classic, 2 great ones.

But its art and subjective so...

Agreed. I actually liked the UYI albums more than. AFD.

Absolutely. Two killer albums from start to finish.

Hopefully that rumor is wrong. The original group needs to be a part of it, especially Izzy. He was the backbone of so much of it.

I am sure there will be as many people crying as the idiots that cried that Michael Anthony's background vocals weren't in the latest VH incarnation.

Yes the hardcore fans are going to be annoyed, but the ones who are paying the premium price only care about Axl & Slash.
Oh, and when they play Philly or New Jersey, I will be there. You gotta think it will be a special people watching experience.

I still wanna see it if it is Axl, Duff, and Slash. But it would be more special with all 5

full disclosure: I've never listened to UYI I or II in full. But I have listened to CD a few times. Liked it.

My life led me to be an Appetite n Lies guy.

Very surprised that a guy like you haven't listened to them in full.

Appetite is IMO the greatest album ever.

I really like UYI and II but they are not close to Appetite.

Doug you should give The Spaghetti Incident cover album a spin if you haven't before. I think you might dig it.

Count me as an "idiot" who thinks VH without Michael Anthony is a joke.

Agreed that Steven Adler is a wildcard, but no Izzy is a real miss. People will still pay top $$ and go. Even if all 5 were there, I'd still pass....had I not seen them in 1993 I'd feel differently.

He was really appreciative of the crowd.

The HOB show was amazing. It was almost like seeing GNR in your local bar - the crowd was right on top of the action, and the floor really felt like it was going to give way - it was flexing like a sonofabitch.

So what is the difference between that reunion and this one?

The added soul that Slash and Duff bring. Those two have a noticeable presence.

Oh, so that was just Axl in 2011 and 12?

There have been so many rumors about reunions I cant keep them straght.

So this is the first Axl, Slash, and Duff grouping since the glory days?
