What do you mean? How does Catholicism square its worship of graven images (statues, rosaries, etc.) and its worship of false gods (saints, the Pope, etc.) with the Ten Commandments that explicitly forbids such behavior. No wonder the Bible thumpers don't consider you Papists Christians!

it depends on your interpretation of the phrase "believes in Him." The language thereafter certainly sounds like the conversion is immediate, no other work needed. Also Paul's phrase in 1 tim 2:5 would seem to indicate the lack of need for confession to a priest, etc. But we've had these arguments before. We stopped when you stated your belief in the apocrypha.

fairly clear that Jesus came to forgive our sins and commanded the apostles to act similarly in his name. Now maybe you don't believe in confession, but its certainly not something to get all hot and bothered about.

I think it's expected. And it's certainly Catholic doctrine the the Pope is the living representative of Christ on earth until that day when He returns. He is infallible in his role as the shepherd of Christians, isn't he?

The pope is only considered infallible under certain circumstances as it relates to formal doctrine. I'll let Seacrest get into the details, as I don't care. As the pope said himself, "who am I to judge?"
