Last week, I took my older son to McD's on the way to school. We were in the Play Place, and a woman just whipped out a tit, and started breastfeeding her kid, not more than ten feet from me. She didn't cover up at all, like she was at home. I got a little show while I ate an overcooked, dry chicken sandwich.

We are the XXXXXX family. Our family consists of I and my wife and our three children. In June of this year we were given a months notice to move because the owner of our rental property decided to sell. The short notice move cost us $2000 that we were not anticipating. Around the same time we had to put new tires on one of our cars, and that cost us an additional $1000. We have also have had numerous medical expenses from our three children. Since July we have experienced constant financial setbacks, like a perfect storm, that has put all of our utilities behind, resulted in the reposession of a vehicle and the imminent reposession of another. We are in desperate need.
This money will be used to bring all of our bills current. We have until December 15th to bring several of these bills current, including our rent, or we will lose everything. It will mean bringing peace of mind to a struggling veteran and his family. Reaching out like this has been one of the most difficult things I have ever had to do. Seeing my family in such desperate need is even more difficult. We are scraping by on very little, feeding our family meals that are inadiquate. Please, any help will be greatfully appreciated and paid forward at the first opportunity.

Well if your cars are repossessed it's a bad investment anyway. They're in Tennessee, not sure how the roads are.

It's never the right time to need to replace a roof or water heater or transmission or a furnace.
I suppose people should prepare for these things better. But they never do.
So many times I go to a call where they're watching a 60 inch tv and have a new beemer but they tell me they cannot afford repairs or ask for a veterans discount or complain that it's not fair that something can't be fixed.
I can't really understand someone with tens of thousands of dollars of credit card debt. I mean I get that medical bills or whatever end up being credit card debt and things like that but really more often than not its luxuries and vacations and the like.
You must always live well below your means so you can handle the "unexpected" (read: things that should be expected but never are like car repairs or a new roof).

It's not so much because I like those people, but rather because doing so seems uncouth, like getting heated over a topic at a dinner party. I don't have such concerns here, and in a certain way, my "friendships"- or whatever they are- with you goofs are more honest and genuine than with many of the people I actually see in person all the time.
