w/Bob and David has its moments but most of this isn't very funny. Made me sad, if anything.

yeah i heard that some mr show v2 just kind of popped up on netflix or something. i cant say i was a huge proponent of it as my only experience was getting to borrow a season or two of it on DVD and bingewatching that once, but i dont really retain any memory of it like "OH MAN THAT ONE EPISODE WHERE THEY DID [WHATEVER]" --- i do seem to remember that it was pretty good with running jokes tho, right?

not to mention that nowadays you've got saul goodman and the voice of the leader of the scammer aliens from rick and morty reuniting to try and recapture whatever magic there was long ago. that just wreeks of "we need something to do in between seasons of better call saul"

hey CH, have you ever fucked with rick and morty? my brother was on me to watch it for like ~6 months and i finally got around to nabbing both seasons and doing a bingewatch.... while i think S2 was slightly lesser than S1, i still think it's a pretty good show that fills my quota for "animated post-/simpsonsesque show worth watching" and whatever guffaws i had about their frank commentary on social order nowadays (especially gender stuff) are likely threatened as all of a sudden there's a bunch of women just lining up to write episodes, which is what's needed whenever a quality show has a few genuine laughs at the expense of modern tumblr feminism and whatnot.

i've heard OF it before, but i've never seen any of it AFAIK (possibly if i watched something random on adult swim for a minute or two b4 the cableboxes with built in TV guides became the norm for our household)

does it get the vaunted JORR seal of approval like, say, jose quintana? =D

Let's put it this way, I would be utterly shocked if you and Curious Hair did not find this to be the greatest television show ever produced.

pfft....

Image

max headroom was a cool concept but ultimately the worst part of the show. pity that it showed up during that time in the 80s when "ABC canceled more great shows than the other networks had" because the last storyline they were working on was a "corporate war" in antarctica between zik zak and their rival, whose name escapes me at the moment. but yeah basically in the max headroom universe when corporations would get pissed at each other they'd raise armies and go to antartica to duke it out and settle their disputes. this was obviously a fore-runner of my brilliant/ly-original idea for "the coca cola people's army"

ZIK ZAK CORPORATION: YOU NEED EVERYTHING WE HAVE / WE HAVE EVERYTHING YOU NEED, AKA KNOW FUTURE

i still need a zik zak corporation / KNOW FUTURE t-shirt like a motherfucker.'

ALSO, in-her-prime amanda pays was !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -- FUCK YOU CORBIN BERNSEN!!!!!

I don't think I'd say so, not in the sense of recurring characters and stuff. Sometimes within an episode there would be running jokes.

Mr. Show certainly had the capacity to be awful, but they hit for a remarkably high average.
