A co-worker who lives in Fond-du-Lac was looking for a beer called "mama's little yella pils" by Oskar Blues Grill. I had never heard of it, but he had found the only place he could get it was right by me in Lindenhurst.
$9.99 for a six pack.
It tasted like PBR....no joke.

I hope he like it....I'd never buy it again.

Zombie Dust is now in $3.25 bombers, at least that's the price at FFF. 6% price increase. I wonder why the change in format. Maybe so more people can get their hands on it? Plus more $$$$$ for FFF, obviously.

I'm looking for a good IPA to have with Thanksgiving dinner in Massachusetts.

Since I won't be able to get my hands on my two current favorites--Lunch IPA (Maine Brewing Company) and Lawson's Sip of Sunshine--I need some recommendations.

After initially being unimpressed with the Alesmith IPA, I have to say that this beer has grown on me quite a bit. Maybe I'll go with that.

Thoughts?

Also, didn't Revolution just start distro in Mass? Anti-Hero and Fist City (technically an APA, but very hoppy) are solid choices. I always have one on-hand.

Trillium is an excellent suggestion, but we are heading to Western MA for the holiday, so Treehouse might be the better bet. I haven't had anything from them yet. People say Trillium and Treehouse are currently the top two breweries in MA, but I think Night Shift, Idle Hands, and Wormtown are awfully good, too.

I just finished off some Anti-Hero last night!

FYI: I travel back and forth between Eastern and Western MA pretty frequently. Hope to get up to Vermont this weekend to replenish my stock of Heady Topper, Hill Farmstead, Lawson's, etc.

So jealous. I have a trading partner in NH who sends me east coast IPAs (much better than anything from out west, save for Alpine Nelson) every few months. Breweries in VT, MA, ME, etc. shit gold. Treehouse has insane lines, so it's probably worth doing some research first to see what/if they have currently. I've been wanting to try Wormtown's Be Hoppy for quite some time. Had a trade for it that fell through. Someday.

Be Hoppy is a great beer, although I don't think it ranks with the elite IPAs such as Lunch or Sip of Sunshine. Wormtown expanded their brewing capacity not too long ago, but their beer is still almost impossible to find in stores because they don't own a canning facility and haven't been able to find a canner capable of handling their output. I guess they have shifted to bottle production to compensate for this problem, but I haven't noticed any increased availability of their beer just yet.

Just from my experience, lines at open can vary quite a bit and I'm not sure how bad it will be on holiday week like this. They use the growler slip dropoff method, so at open everyone hands in what they want for fills then heads directly into the can line. If you're only getting cans, it can be a quick in and out later in the day, but even if you're in line with people at open, Tree House is extremely efficient. It might be pretty bad with the holiday and with Green and Julius both available at higher limits.
