don't forget that kobe gave us bar none the ugliest basketball shoes of all-time, shoes which i've seen described as "pontiac azteks for your feet" --- without further adieu, ladings and gentlemen i give you.... THE ADIDAS KOBE IIs >>>

(of course the last ones are beige so if you squint really hard from a distance you might think you met a time traveler from a dystopian future wearing futuristic timberlands or lugz....but alas, those are just butt ugly kobe 2s fromthe here and now!)

it is assumed that adidas went out of business after the kobe 2s and now all they do is sell soccer cleats for some argentinian midget. oh and derrick rose, but who the fuck wakes up in 2015 like OMFG I GOTTA GET MY D-ROSE GEAR?!?!?! cant be spending that much on shoes/clothes when you gotta plan for your kid's HS graduation and all =D

Missed it. Now I have to find it. He knows that he's done.

Tim Duncan is the best player of his era. Five rings and the best player on every championship team he has been on. Sustained excellence. He also has won when he hasn't exactly had the best talent. Kobe has never elevated teams. He always won when he had easily the best talent on the floor. He also has come up small when he was predicted to win. I would probably place him top 15 ever.

It is true, lebron made his teams instant contenders and kobe didnt.

I don't know how i feel on the Kobe vs Lebron debate, but I'd probably roll with Kobe on this one. Lebron James had a terrible series vs Golden State just last yr. This is the sort of thing that separates guys like Jordan. Jordan would have bad games but I really can't remember him having bad series. These guys have had a number of bad series during their careers.

You and FF and anyone else who says this nonsense is wrong. Just stop with the over the top Kobe hate and Duncan love.

Not hating on Kobe. I actually place him over Lebron. Don't know how its over the top Duncan love either. Barkley has him as the best power forward ever. He also has won championships which people really seem to value around here. Not necessarily over the top when you put it all together. Never got the big hype as Kobe has, but the guy flat out delivered. Kobe really has fizzled once the talent surrounding him left also. He was injured during some of those years, but his injuries didn't really affect the performance of the team. He would have simply been a guy that scored a lot of points on losing teams.

He's right. Theres no shame in being second to a guy like Duncan. It would be over the top to suggest Kobe had a better career than Duncan, not vice versa. Especially after Duncan gets that 6th ring this year.

I don't have Kobe in the top ten all time, Shaq is ahead of him.. Shaq was double and triple teamed... Kobe had it made but he couldn't handle sharing the spotlight. That's why he couldn't get out of the first round after he chased Shaq off . Lebron beat that Very good Detroit team with Ilgauskus,Gooden, Snow and Sasha Pavlovic. Worst team I've seen make the finals... Lebron has always been The Man on his team..Kobe was second banana for the three peat. I'd take Lebron over Kobe.
