It was a pretty weak episode, I was expecting quite a bit more but the first 5-6 episodes were
good enough for me to give the last couple a pass. The second half holds a lot of promise.

Stupid fucking Morgan

I get the juxtaposition and switching of roles but the writers just made Morgan a totally unbelievable character, a stupid and naive character whose actions fly in the face of common sense, especially in this Walking Dead world. It's just lazy, there is no nuance or really anything believable about it. He let a bunch of the Wolves live...they come back and kill a bunch of people...then he lets those Wolves go and they try and kill Rick.....then Rick confronts him and he is still oblivious....then he stashes that nutjob (without telling anyone!) in a basement somewhere and the Nutjob goes nuts, kidnaps the psych, takes a gun and splits.

Why? "Because we can't kill!!!!"

Yeah, it was bad.

This is why Rick is so important, and why they are alive because of Rick. He is the only one willing to do what is needed at all costs. If Rick is in that room the Wolf guy is dead.

I thought it was a little ridiculous how they made the Wolf out to be someone who would kill anyone at the drop of a hat. The way he repeatedly threatened to murder them all. Then, when he has the chance, he just hostages up and hightails it outta there. What?

That was weird too. They made her look unhinged (doing their best to ruin her character and swing the pendulum) and made Morgan look like some sort of messiah trying to claw everyone's soul back. There is no redemption for the Wolves, they don't want it, they are apocalyptic.....yet we have Morgan letting them live at every turn (even though they keep coming back to kill) and turning them into his little psyche ward play things...."Killing is bad, Mr Wolf! You no kill no more! You nice boy! No tea until you no kill no more!" Even when the evidence (due directly to his own actions) proves otherwise.

About as well as Rick's decision to let infected people live with them.

But the fact is killing Karen and David and freeing them from terminus saved all their lives and they'd all be dead without her.


You could make a case, they'd be better off with Shane, than with Rick.

I liked it, but I can see how some might've found it to be a unsatisfying. The whole Morgan vs the new world storyline is getting old and ridiculous.

I was surprised by the cliff hanger the chose to use. I thought for sure the cliff hanger would've happened when a certain main cast member underwent non voluntary cosmetic surgery, but that obviously never came to pass.

I just hope the don't wuss out in the opener and we get to see the full forshadowing of Sam turning into the half eaten cookie getting swarmed by ants.

Looking at the BIG picture, Eugene is a lot more valuable than you give him credit. He may be Jack Haley now, but he has the potential to be the Tim Duncan of this world.
