JB Wendlekin and Zack Erwin. Seriously? That's it? I don't like Lawrie but holy crap that's literally getting him for nothing. Didn't the great Billy Beane just trade the reigning MVP for this guy??

There was more to the Donaldson return than Lowrie.

Yea this is not much different than just grabbing Lowrie off waivers. Wendelken was on the periphery of the Sox top 25 and even though Erwin was just drafted he wasn't taken very high. Borderline free.

I think they had Asdrubal Cabrera ready to sign for 3B if A's wanted anything more. He's not much different than Lawrie.

Beane has managed to turn Josh Donaldson and Addison Russell into Barreto, Graveman and some leftovers from the White Sox farm system. Impressive.

older and much more expensive

They may get back to Asdrubal to play SS if he is sitting there in the bargain bin later in FA

well looks the Mets signed Cabrera the minute the Lawrie trade went through. Cabrera is the worst defensive SS in the major so I doubt he plays there anymore.

If he can get that wood on low pitches at the cell us fans will be happy.

they have holes at 6 positions, so filling one with a league average player isn't a terrible way to start.

I think you just figured out the White Sox ad campaign for 2016!

but they also traded for Neil Walker

so now they have a glut of SS, 2B and Wright at 3B

Timely reply.

Lawrie at 2B is a good thing for this club.

Lawrie will probably be a butcher at 2b. Just want to be on the record with that.
