I have my doubts he's a shortstop.

And I'll be shocked if Lawrie is close to as good as Frazier next year.

Frazier will be better no doubt. Lawrie is a poser.

Only someone as dumb as America would want Lawrie over Frazier.

Lawrie isn't better than Frazier, I can't speak for America on that however.

It's more what did you have to give up (not much) for a few years of arb-Lawrie (his career totals will hold down his arb price) vs. giving up your top prospect for 1 year of Todd Frazier.

Clearly Lawrie hasn't been nearly as good as Frazier. But Frazier is on the verge of getting old. The decline is coming for him, Lawrie OTOH is cheaper and has much more potential.

I said I'd rather have Lawrie than Frazier all things considered before the trade hit. I'm not trying to justify anything.

Anderson is a year away. One fucking year, and then there's a player that you can slot into the IF to take over for some guy signed as a 1 year stopgap at short (Asdrubal Cabrera would be fine). Anderson puts the bat on the ball and can run, he's talented... yea he might suck but at least going into 2016 they'll have one player from the minors coming that at least makes one less position they'll have to turn over.

Keep Kenny away from Tim Anderson. Tell Kenny no. If he wants a new 3B he can have Brett Lawrie for Chris Beck and Courtney Hawkins, but he's not getting a 29 year old corner infielder who has nearly zero chance of being on the White Sox in 2017.

Stupid fucking White Sox god they drive me completely fucking nuts all the time.

Two. Fullmer will be taking over the #5 slot from danks

Lots of money coming off the books at the end of this year. Next year is the time to spend

Great scenario is if Anderson is good enough to make it mid season and michlzewski continues to develop

The WhiteSox move does not preclude a trade for a third baseman ( Todd Frazier ) Lawrie plays second base as well .

They will not be losing. This will be an 81 win team with that pitching and upgrades

If I was the White Sox GM, I'd wait until all the decent FA starters are gone, and see which two big market team got lefts with the musical pitching chair. Then start the bidding for Sale a good two players above what the D-Backs gave up for Miller.

Realistically, it'd have to be a three or four team deal, because the team acquiring Sale would have to take on at least two completely horrible contracts to make it work, and the contracts would have to be so bad that the teams shedding them would have to be willing to each give up their #2 or #3 prospect just to get out of the contract.

Did they have multiple offers for Miller, or was it just 1 team?

For aure we are stuck with everyday AB for LaRoche and Avisail. Good chance on Sanchez and Saladino.
Get ready for another long, wasted year. The sad thing is we have Sale and Quintana and it's just wasted pitching talent with that lineup.

Now that's a campaign to get behind! We will be mediocre in 2016!

I don't know, but Those guys are great comps from age to talent. In fact I'd give Quintana the slight edge

White Sox will never trade a good young pitcher that they control for another 2+ years.

I would say no, because Kenny like to win now, but he did trade for a young Danks.

The Chairman would never go for it.

The Sox philosophy for years (going back 25+ years) has been to draft pitchers and control them. $$$

He traded a young righty with a lot of promise and a year of experience (McCarthy) for a young lefty with a lot of promise + a reliever. They traded Mc Carthy because he was Anderson's running mate in hitting bars all night, every night. Anderson still sucked

The Danks trade looked like one of Kenny's best until Danks shoulder gave out. Shame.

Agreed. Especially because the Cubs already won the 2016 World Series.

Its good to see you don't hold grudges and can easily let things roll off ya, bigfan. Especially during this most joyous Christmas season.

I have the completely unfounded suspicion that a Frazier deal gets done, with the Reds convinced to get rid of him and now trying to get the best offer. I hope the Sox stand firm on not giving up Anderson/Fulmer.

There are a lot of question marks in Frazier moving to the AL and out of Cincinnatti. I wouldn't pay for him as if you are getting the 30 HR, above average defender that he is in Cincy.

I'd be fine giving up Fulmer as I think he ultimately ends up in the bullpen. Anderson is untouchable for the simple fact that they have no depth at SS. Can't trade the only guy on the organization who has a chance to play the most important position on the field.
