I'm fine with giving up Montas and especially Johnson. Thompson hurts a little but you have to give to get. I was afraid they had to give up Quintana to get Frazier. Good deal.

Frazier is a solid player and one of the more likeable guys in baseball. Good trade.

I disagree. I like what Hahn has accomplished so far this offseason. If they could pick up a better RF option that has some power, they should have a pretty good lineup assuming Cabrera can bounce back.

I don't trust the Sox to make trades for the right established players though.

I still think they should put LaRoche at 1B and DH Abreu. LaRoche is the better defender and I would imagine some of his horrible hitting last season was due to him not playing 1B and trying to stay focused in the dugout.

I like the deal if this is accurate.

Including Trayce with an MLB ready arm like Montas makes this seem a classic essence of a White Sox deal. Screw the future. Serve the now.

I'm just really skeptical of the Sox bringing in yet another (modest)average guy to swing for the fences. Given that I know next to nothing about Montas, it really has nothing to do with who they gave up to be honest, just my fear of another Pasqua/Bell/Dunn/LaRoche guy coming in to provide 3-4 bad ABs a game.

I don't care much about Thompson. I think he is a 4th OF because of his bat.

Johnson isn't a good fielder but I was excited to see what he could do as a hitter.

Montas is probably a closer within 3 years and in the MLB sometime next year.

Frazier is a guy who hasn't done well away from cincy or against the AL.
