I will laugh if this is edited out of the podcast.

Is Papa John's a Score sponsor? Or is Dan such a brainless neoliberal stooge that he instinctively bristles whenever someone speaks ill of a #brand?

He believes that every business is a potential sponsor and cannot be spoken ill of. So to answer your question, a little of both.

Is this speculation, or has he actually said this?

It wasnt Cowley who called Papa John an asswipe, it was the show producer.

And yes, Dan did say that they were a potential sponsor. Berns said that he was tought different.

They just bumped tits a little. Dan came close to calling him a Bears shill which would've been a lot of fun, but held back (ofc).

Next segment he stopped their guest from making a joke about McDonald's because "everyone is a potential sponsor."

Take your own advice, fellas. You never know when David Hochberg might become an evangelical minister!

A thousand Weird Twitterers tweeting from a thousand iPhones for a thousand years wouldn't be able to create a parodic character as laughable as the real-life Dan Bernstein.

This was my thought as well after listening to the show, that Cowley was trying out.

Why else would he have been there today?

I thought he did ok for his second time. Better than Rozner or Rosenbloom. The show has no future with either of them.

You can have @senorcolumnist if you want to run with it. I don't get Twitter.

They've already been heading in this direction, but why not just give Bernstein a solo show and allow him to do his MSNBC style show where he can twist sports related topics into his liberal agenda, but cover actual sports when he's not doing that? Have Abattacola be a producer voice who can jump in for dumb comedy from time to time, and that's the show?

I'm sure that's the plan.

Sure sounded like Cowley.

It was Producer Dustin Rhodes who said that.

When Francesa lost his partner, it became his own show, except instead of bouncing stuff off wacky producers, he just yells at them or checks his phone. Maybe they'll give Goff another recession contract and make him a sidekick, but whoever replaces Terry won't get equal billing.

Couldn't Joffrey Bernstein be a co-host?
He already knows more about sports, movies and politics than most idiot blue collar Americans.

Agreed, but Bernstein is already setting the direction of the show, and his current partner agrees with 95% (that's probably low) of what he says. He may get a sidekick partner or a producer who jumps on the air occasionally, but Bernstein is running the show, now and whatever the future holds. Why limit him to a sports show when he has become more interested in promoting his social/political believes? He's already doing it, but why not make it official once Boers leaves and change the format of his show so it's not hidden in a sports show?

I agree with Curious Hair.

Dan doesn't want an equal.

Correct. Dan doesn't want an equal. Moreover, he doesn't consider anybody that works at the SCORE to be his equal. In the same way that he doesn't consider women to be equal to men. They're just tits and ass to him.

Bernfield as Bernstein's partner? Saying that he's smart and would stand up to him? No. That guy would fall in line at Bernstein's first bark? Bernfield is the type that tries very hard not to say anything edgy, controversial or even interesting for that matter. He's basically a broadcasting robot set on "Safe, vanilla and boring" at all times. But even if he disagreed with Dan about his edgy comments, he'd be too scared to stand up to him. He wouldn't nod his head like Terry does, he'd just be silent and try to change the subject to something safe like discussing the weather.

It's gonna be Rozner or Bernstein solo with more talking from dumb ass drinky. But as a producer. Not his co host.

Mike North used to think that as well

Is there any doubt that the average Score listener's politics/worldview is a lot closer to that of North than li'l danny? If people didn't want to hear North trying to be Bill O'Reilly, I'm pretty sure they don't want to hear bernstein trying to be Jon Stewart.

I just want stories about girls, gains and being on the spectrum in my sports talk. I'm a coveted 18-35 male listener (I don't listen much).
