I think he'll get a job.

I think we'll laugh at the reasons he got one eventually though.

Let's go out and hire Cooper Manning! He has spent his whole life with Peyton!

What exactly is Gase's resume outside of being in the same room with Peyton a lot?

It certainly isn't the amazing job he did with the offense this year.

What he did in Denver, coupled with what he did with the likes of Marc Mariani playing a #1 wide out, have made him very attractive to others around the league. I think Philly might be the only job he would take.

The offense was bad though.

I understand that someone is going to probably hire him. It's just funny to me that he has become this hot coaching pick because he was somehow able to succeed with Peyton Manning and then one year of this high powered Bears offense.

If the Bears were considering a guy with his resume as a HC I would be disappointed.

I think it has more to do with how he handled an extremely low powered offense that is making him attractive.

I'd be willing to bet Gase calls a mean game of Madden 2016

We're all gonna be sooooo shocked when Gase is a lousy head coach.

What exactly was so amazing about this Bear offense this season? Cause like, I never saw anything that was... ah... good?

Moon has kinda lost all credibility with his call on Gase staying.

With three HC interviews scheduled for him, it's more than likely one team will bite.

Ask the experts who saw more than enough to interview him for a HC gig.

You know who else is interviewing everywhere? Josh McDaniels.

You need to stop citing interviews as a reason that someone is going to be a very good head coach.

I haven't done this.

I have no idea if he will be a good head coach. I simply laid out a case to interview him for that job based on what he did this year. And a number of NFL teams agree with me.

We are talking about whether he will be a good coach or not.

If your point is that a guy who is going to interview in multiple places deserves to interview in multiple places because he is interviewing in multiple places then I can't argue with such air tight logic.

must have done something right to make a POS like Cutler look at least halfway competent.

Exactly, and this makes him attractive to other teams. Really pretty simple. He has done an excellent job as a coordinator. No one will know if that translates to an HC position until he is given that chance.

what fangio did to coordinate this defense to respectability is equally if not more impressive. mediocre D-line horrendous LB play and young inexperienced DB's (outside of the decent porter and bad ball). Fangio has a much stronger resume to suggest his excellence can be trusted. i wonder why he is not getting more consideration for HC jobs.

Age probably has something to do with it. Has he ever even said he wants to be a HC?

Fangio doesn't want to be a HC, really. He was happy to be the DC in SF but they wanted him to coach the defensive fucking line.

This is news. Bernstein, on the other hand, has been saying for a while now Gase is gone after this year. Good for the Bears if he stays. Cutler shouldn't have to work with yet another offensive coordinator when the Bears offensively should be better next year, that is, if they can fix their O-line problems.

Probably the exact opposite take of every other writer.

Granted, I think sometimes writers (particularly in this town) proclaim a coach as the 'best' in that specific category/skill set, yet can't name more than 10 similar coordinators across the league so they tend to start repeating what the national guys are reporting.

He's going to interview in most of the openings and is is seen as a favorite to land one of these jobs, however, that's no guarantee.

Dickerson said he does want to be a HC. He's said so.
