I was driving around today for a bit picking my son up from school and I turned on ESPN 1000. Jurko and Googly eyes were talking about all the pro franchises you could buy with your powerball winnings. Fascinating sports talk for 15 minute segment I tell you. Glad they could pull themselves away from soccer talk.

I turned on the score and Spiegs and Goff were talking how ridiculous of a name they gave Shaq in the movie Blue Chips. Goff tried to make it sound like he was so edgy and going to get himself in trouble by pointing out the director might have been racist giving Shaq a black sounding name. Finally Spiegs put down his sandwich and responded about Shaqs name being a bit much in real life. Then the talk switched to bowling alleys not having good food. Way too much giggling by Goff for my liking. Everything is not that funny dude. Get over it. Both shows reminded me why I listen to podcasts on a daily basis while at work.

It's quite a dilemma right now- You want to leave the Score and stop the hate listening, but ESPN 1000 is such a bad alternative. Luckily, I like Kap enough to switch over at noon, but Waddle & Co are god awful.

Kap is an acquired taste, which I got used to from his Comcast show at 5:30. The thing I really like about him is there is no BS. He just runs down the issues of the day without much nonsense. Yeah I get he has an arrogant twinge to his personality, but he really avoids off topic stuff.

I was always ok with Mac talking about guy stuff like grilling, music, movies, etc. But I don't need to hear about mundane personal crap which often happens on the Goff experience. I don't need the SJW crap spewed by B&B. And I certainly don't need the contrived arguments that are a staple of almost all ESPN programs-who is better the 6 Champion Bulls or the Warriors.

M&H- flawed but fine.
Kap- Solid and on topic. Well informed. Real sports guy.

All else is meh.

I tried the first hour today as the description said Bulls talk but it was about 20 seconds of imagining what Quennville would sound like as Bulls coach (with Goff ) and then I'd skip ahead 30 seconds and hear 'Rueben' a bunch and skipped some more.

I just tried to listen to about 25 minutes of Carmen and Jurko and it was like listening to Hanley doing a show with himself.

Between two Hanleys.

Dull, lame jokes, and uninteresting asides & discussions.

It's mind numbing and makes Bill & Wendy, which isn't a bad show, sound like the most entertaining thing on the radio.

In that 25 minutes, how many times did Carmen reference his Italian heritage?
