it was like 7 hours of 1 and 2 put together in chronological order, remastered and with lots of scenes that were left out of the original movies. It was on HBO yesterday so I imagine they will play it many times.

It looked great and I thought the scenes did shed light on parts of the story. 7 or so hours is rough. I did not watch the entire thing as it was on during the NFL playoffs. However, it was a nice way to wind down after the games.

They used to play this on AMC or whatever frequently a few years back. They called it the godfather saga. I have never found it on DVD anywhere but would like it. The missing scenes are great but the chronological edit is really sweet.

Yeah, I remember AMC running it many times about 10 years ago, but I haven't seen a broadcast of it since then. HBO is re-airing it a couple times this week, so I got the DVR set to record it.
