This is going to be the best show on TV, haven't seen it yet but got it recorded. Homeland went to dogshit the instant Brody died..dude was great in band of brothers and Homeland ..add Paul Giamatti and its a recipe for success.

Agreed.

He was great in the NBC show Life as well. Sarah Shahi wasn't bad to look at either.

Getting a lot of mixed reviews. Quite a few of them were not very glowing. 312 never let a critic get in his way of either
bashing or enjoying a show no matter the quality. I'll probably check it out as I like Lewis and Giamatti but even when I started seeing
trailers for this months ago I never got very excited about watching it. Might be something to try out before the mid season shows start
back up, but I am skeptical that it will stick at my house.

I have never been disappointed in Paul Giamatti's work.

The first episode was very poorly written but well acted by Giamatti and Lewis.

Watched the first two episodes and this was my main takeaway. The writing is pretty weak but the acting by
the main characters is pretty good. I also enjoyed Jax Teller's wife as the shrink and she is pretty easy to look
at. There were some bad performances, including Lewis' right hand man. That guy just can't pull off being a bad ass
or a good line. I also thought his wife, played by Malin Ackerman, while nice to look at is a pretty bad actress.
I'll watch a couple more episodes but don't really see this one being a big hit.

Hmm Tbone,,watched it last night n thought only one episode so far..Did Brody buy a beach house @ the end of the second one or first one?

Little heavy handed in the writing but overall I liked it. Giamatti n Brody delivered as I knew they would.

He purchased the beach house at the end of the pilot episode as an FU to the US Government.

I'm 4 episodes in an unimpressed, The writing is horrendous; they really beat you over the head with just about everything. The acting of Giamatti and Brody are great but that's about it.

I haven't watched it but my wife showed me the beginning of some episode where a dominatrix put a cigarette out on Giamatti and then pissed on him. She questioned whether people really did those things. I told her she needed to get on the internet more.

This show is a tough watch, the writing blows. The acting outside of 3 or 4 characters is horrendous.. Axelrods right hand man (gale from Breakin Bad) is amongst the worst and miscast. I would have pulled the plug on this garbage but I have only 2 shows I watch besides this.

Rebounded strongly in season 2 and 3, much better writing and way less of Brodies annoying wife n kids.

Pretty sure it was around episode 4 during season one that I threw in the towel and never looked back. Good to hear that it has
gotten better as there was a decent premise there and some good actors.
